Composting Toilets Tuesday, August 15, 2006

Made in Sweden, BioLet composting toilets are some of the best-designed, and best-selling toilets in the world. They offer excellent performance and a compact design for homes that have utility power. Features include:

* Clamshell doors below the seat that hide the compost chamber until weight is put on the seat.
* A composting process that works with gravity. Fresh material enters the top; only the oldest, most completely composted material drops out the bottom, into the finishing tray.
* An adjustable thermostat to control liquid buildup. Won't use electricity unless actually needed.
* A mechanical cassette with all fans, heaters and thermostats in the top rear makes any service quick, easy and clean.

BioLet produces two basic sizes, which, with various options, produces four diffrent models. The Standard is the smaller size, and is available in a nonelectric manual-mix model, an electric manual-mix model, and an electric, automatic-mixing model. The 40 larger XL size comes in one electric model with automatic mixing and NSF approval. All models except the nonelectric require utility power, or a plentiful RE source such as a strong hydro system.

BioLets top-of-the-line model is National Sanitation Foundation NSF approved for residential use. Has 40 larger composting capacity than the Manual Model. The thermostatically-controlled heating element is 305 watts. The mixer motor runs automatically for 30 seconds every time the lid is lifted and replaced. The quiet 25-watt fan runs continuously, the heating elements run as required by thermostat setting and room temperature. For homes with utility power. The XL can handle four persons full-time, or six persons for intermittent vacation use.

* Dimensions: 26" H x 26" W x 32" D. It requires 26" x 54" of floor space for the finishing tray to slide out the front.
* Weighs approx. 50 lb.
* Shipping weight: approx. 75 lb.
* Ships via: FedEx surface freight
* Ships from: Massachusetts, 124 to continental U.S.
* Three-year mfr.s warranty.

Teak tubs, vanities, sinks (Image to follow) Wednesday, April 19, 2006

"My Trading Company's" teak tubs are hand crafted in Denmark in the highest standard of the cooperage tradition (ancient wood crafting method), which has been used for many generations in Europe. The superior workmanship of the teak tub consists of all solid teak blocks, which have been kiln dried for about 6 months to achieve a very low moisture level of only 10%. This way every tub is unique and "one of a kind".

Green Policy: My Trading Company offers European hand crated and high quality wooden products and will honor and select production facilities sensitive to environmental policies and practices. We believe in protecting our environment.
